The forest, its trees, light, scents, shades .. We never get tired of wondering. The Arctic Home family lives in the Arctic Circle and enjoys the surrounding Arctic nature. There is place in nature to breathe and think. Nature gives you the strength and energy to get excited and come up with something new.

The Arctic Home Family

The skill of various handicrafts has been passed down from generation to generation in our family. The Arctic Home family includes a mother knitter, a father with handcrafted reindeer buttons, and two daughters who are specifically involved in product testing, giving truthful feedback. The Arctic Home family is moved by cute Siberianhusky sisters.

Hiking in nature, I noticed we need more hats and scarves. Enthusiastic about this, I started weaving different patterns. Through the experiments, you found your favorite designs and incredibly lovely yarns with their color tones. 

Inspiration from Nature

The idea to webpage The Arctic Home was also born in nature. Idea matured from a place where crafts could be presented and thereby give those, who are interested, an opportunity to get their own unique piece.

Responsibility comes first

The site and products respect nature and are responsible. Each The Arctic Home WoollyHat and WoollyScarf are hand knitted from 100% wool yarn produced in Finland or the EU. The yarn is soft and thick and untreated, meaning it has not been subjected to chemical treatment before dyeing. The yarn is Oeko-Tex® certified, which means that the yarn has been tested and does not contain any harmful chemicals. Therefore, the products are safe to use.

WoollyHats and WoollyScarves are finished with a reindeer horn button that adds to their individuality. Reindeer horns are a renewable material and reindeer drop their horns every year. Each reindeer has unique horns. We use dropped reindeer horns which are collected from the terrain.

Handcrafts combine our family

It is wonderful to sitting in the warmth of the fireplace, knitting WoollyHats and talking together. It is also great to enjoy Arctic summer and remember nature experiences and do different handcrafts together.

Siberianhusky sisters Nuga ja Nawa provide active exercise for us. It is amazing to dress warmly at WoollyHat and WoollyScarf in ​​any weather, when we ramble outdoors and in nature.
